In a bowl (or you can divide directly into mugs), combine flour, cocoa powder, sugar, and salt.
Add milk, oil (or melted butter), and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
Evenly distribute the batter into 4 mugs (fill only halfway to avoid overflow).
Sprinkle or mix into each mug.
Preheat to 180°C (350°F) for 3 minutes.
Place 1–2 mugs at a time (depending on your air fryer size). Cook for 8–10 minutes per batch: 8 minutes fudgy, 10 minutes more cake-like.
Let each mug rest for 2–3 minutes before serving.
Don’t overcrowd the air fryer—air circulation is key. Rotate mugs halfway through cooking if your air fryer heats unevenly. Add a square of chocolate or Nutella in the center for a molten effect. Top with ice cream or whipped cream for serving.
