Guacamole with Greek Yogurt (Healthy Version)

A lighter, creamier twist on classic guacamole. Greek yogurt replaces part of the fat while adding protein and a smooth texture without losing that authentic Mexican flavor.

2 ripe avocados

Plain Greek yogurt (unsweetened) Plain Greek yogurt (unsweetened)

1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt (unsweetened)

Onion finely chopped Onion finely chopped

1/4 cup finely chopped white onion

Diced tomato (seeds removed) Diced tomato (seeds removed)

1 medium tomato, diced (seeds removed)

Serrano peppers finely chopped Serrano peppers finely chopped

1 serrano or jalapeño pepper, finely chopped (optional)

Cilantro chopped Cilantro chopped

2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped

Lime juice Lime juice

Juice of 1 lime

Salt Salt

Salt to taste


Preparation method

    Prepare the avocados

    Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl. Mash with a fork until mostly smooth, leaving some chunks for texture.

    Make it creamy

    Add the Greek yogurt to the bowl and mix until fully combined and smooth.

    Add vegetables

    Stir in the finely chopped onion, tomato, chili, and fresh cilantro.

    Season

    Add lime juice and salt to taste. Mix gently to combine all the ingredients.

    Adjust and serve

    Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed. Serve immediately or chill for 15–20 minutes to allow the flavors to enhance.
