1 tsp honey (optional, to balance acidity)

2 tbsp flour or cornstarch (for crispiness)

Preparation method

    Prepare the chicken

    Cut the chicken into evenly sized cubes or thin fillets for even cooking.

    Make the marinade

    In a bowl, combine lemon juice, zest, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, oregano, and optional honey. Add the chicken and mix well. Let it marinate for 10–15 minutes.

    Sprinkle in the flour or cornstarch and toss until the chicken is lightly coated.

    Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (350°F) for 3 minutes.

    Place the chicken in a single layer, being careful not to overcrowd the basket. Air fry for 12–15 minutes, flipping the pieces halfway through.

    Increase the temperature to 200°C (390°F) and cook for an additional 2–3 minutes.
